Full-time Lead UX/UI Designer (Mid-Senior Level)

After 11 years in Melbourne running our online marketplace for people to buy and sell machinery and equipment, we decided to move the business and half of our staff to the warmer beaches of the Gold Coast.

We have set up a new office in Broadbeach and are now building the "Dream Team" to take us to a new level.

We are looking for a creative, fun person to come join our high performance digital marketing team. Someone who loves making things happen, who works well in a team, but also gets on and does their own work to a high standard!

Primary Role
Design and implement UX/UI changes for current and ongoing projects that aid in our vision for future and ongoing company growth.
Further duties and responsibilities will be added depending on your skills and experience.

Other Responsibilities
To work towards Machines4U's vision: "To be Australia & New Zealand's largest marketplace to buy & sell machinery."
Undergo professional training to enhance knowledge-base and management efficiency which will contribute in the growth of the company.

5+ Years of experience.
Ability to understand business case and implement UX/UI designs to aid business goals.
Quick learner with an attention to detail. Self motivated, confident and ambitious.
Up to date with latest best practices and design trends. Disregards hype (not jumping on every design bandwagon that passes) and cuts through to principles, plans, and product.
Facilitate idea capture, across all stakeholders (internally and externally).
User research through data analysis, testing, journey mapping, persona building, user interviews/surveys.
Communicate ideas quickly and effectively through wireframes, sketches, mock-ups, storyboards, user flows and user journeys.
Experience working across Mobile & Desktop. (Mobile App experience non-essential).
Strong skills and experience working with all necessary design tools, testing tools and data analysis tools.
Working knowledge of HTML & CSS.
Commitment to attention to detail, quality communication and positive outcomes.
Ability to lead, inspire confidence and trust from the rest of the business.
Project Management experience.
