User Experience Architect: Mid/ Sen Level – London – Contract £350 - £450 per day
at Digital Agency/ Cosnultancy in London
A rapidly expanding digital agency/ consultancy that has continued to go from strength to strength is actively seeking a UX Architect to assist on highly strategic projects where design or development of products and services may be delivered across all channels, in particular: web/ mobile/ tablets/ digital/ tv, et al.
Role:
To plan and design user experiences across digital devices (main focus currently online media), but taking into consideration the broader customer journey and communication mix.
Responsibilities:
• User Experience Design – adept at applying user centred design principles to create usable solutions to complex problems.
• Experience Planning – able to draw on a wide range of techniques such as landscape mapping and competitive review, persona development, user journey modelling, concept modelling and navigation strategy.
• Design Prototyping – can initiate and iterate a design process from low to medium fidelity using sketching, paper, whiteboard and interactive tools such as Axure, Visio or Omnigraffle. Can work collaboratively, or draw on best practise, depending on client need.
• Research – while a Senior UXA will be supported by the Clients Research team in execution they should be comfortable with an able to play a crossover role in some other research techniques including affinity grouping, card sorting, and planning and moderating usability tests. You should be confident talking to end users.
• Capability Development – contribute to the development of the company’s tool and techniques.
Skills:
• Should have at least 5 years experience, 2 years of which should be at a mid to senior level.
• Understanding of process. UCD agile/ rapid iterative prototyping.
• Experienced at working across the whole spectrum of UX engagement on medium to large projects, from planning through to final handover of deliverables.
• Client facing experience
• At least mid-level experience as a User Experience Architect in a digital agency with a strong UX bias.
• Commercial sector experience essential. Agency or consultancy experience preferred.
• Desirable – Travel and/ or Financial Sector client experience e.g. banking, insurance and investments ideal but not essential.
